This year, 2025 marked the 81st Anniversay of D-Day along with the 80th Anniversary of the end of World War II. My family and I traveled to Europe this summer on a much delayed journey through the battlefieds of World War 2. From the beaches of Normandy all the way to Berlin, we traced the steps of the 5th Armored Division and that of my father, a truck driver with the CC R, 47th AIB. In order to my father justice I created a 60 page booklet tracing his steps from enlistment in 1942 all the way to VE Day, May 8, 1945. 

Perhaps you are familiar with the 5th AD or know someone that is. If not you may still enjoy this booklet. If nothing else parts of it may jog a memory of yours related to a relative who participated in this the greatest conflict in world history. Please let me know what you think.
